Historic safari lodges in the great national parks of Uganda and Kenya.
Marasa Africa is a family-run hospitality group that has been creating East African safari memories for over four generations. Its portfolio of historic properties is set inside some of the greatest national parks in Uganda and Kenya, pairing classic safari character with the traditional East African warmth and professionalism that brings guests back year after year.
In Uganda, the collection anchors many of the country's headline itineraries. Paraa Safari Lodge and Chobe Safari Lodge sit within Murchison Falls National Park on the banks of the Nile, while Mweya Safari Lodge overlooks the Kazinga Channel in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Silverback Lodge in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest places guests at the doorstep of Uganda's mountain gorillas, making a combined wildlife-and-primate journey straightforward to build.
In Kenya, the Aberdare Country Club and the famous tree hotel The Ark offer a classic highlands experience in the Aberdare National Park, while Mara Leisure Camp brings guests into the heart of the Masai Mara for the country’s signature big-game viewing.
For UK trade, Marasa Africa offers a single group through which to combine Uganda’s parks and gorillas with Kenya’s Aberdares and Mara — a breadth of owned properties delivered to a consistent standard. The team will be at The Annual Africa Tourism Evening to introduce the collection to UK buyers and share the latest product updates and 2026/27 availability.
The properties span Uganda and Kenya. In Uganda: Paraa Safari Lodge and Chobe Safari Lodge (both in Murchison Falls National Park, on the Nile), Mweya Safari Lodge (Queen Elizabeth National Park, overlooking the Kazinga Channel) and Silverback Lodge (Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, for mountain gorilla trekking). In Kenya: Aberdare Country Club and The Ark tree hotel (Aberdare National Park) and Mara Leisure Camp (Masai Mara).
