Delete your account

You can delete your The Annual Africa Tourism Evening account and all associated data at any time. There are two ways to do this — both result in the same permanent removal.

From inside the app

  1. Open the The Annual Africa Tourism Evening app and sign in
  2. Tap the gear icon in the top-right corner of the dashboard
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account
  4. Confirm. Your account and all data are removed immediately.

By email

If you no longer have access to the app, send a deletion request from the email address you signed in with to:

hello@aate.events

We’ll process the deletion within 7 days and confirm by email once it’s complete.

What gets deleted

  • Your profile (name, email, company, role)
  • Your The Annual Africa Tourism Evening attendee record and badge
  • Any conversation slots booked for or against you
  • Badges you’ve scanned and contacts saved in-app
  • Your push notification token and device identifiers
  • Your authentication record on our backend

Deletion is permanent. We do not retain a backup copy of your personal data once the deletion completes. Aggregated event statistics (e.g. total badge scans on the evening) may persist in anonymised form.
