African Bush Camps

Authentic luxury safari camps across Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe — founded by Beks Ndlovu.

About African Bush Camps

African Bush Camps is one of the most respected owner-operated safari companies in Southern Africa. Founded by Beks Ndlovu, a Zimbabwean professional guide, the company has grown from a single camp into a portfolio of fifteen-plus luxury safari camps across Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe — but the founding philosophy has not changed. Every camp is small. Every guiding team is hand-picked. Every safari is built around what is actually happening in the bush rather than a fixed itinerary.

The portfolio spans the iconic safari regions of the three countries. In Zimbabwe, the camps are anchored by Somalisa in Hwange National Park and Kanga in Mana Pools. In Botswana, the company operates camps across the Khwai concession, the Linyanti, and the Okavango Delta — including Khwai Bush Camp, Khwai Lediba, Linyanti Bush Camp and Atzaró Okavango. In Zambia, Thorntree River Lodge sits on the Zambezi a few minutes from Victoria Falls.

Equally central to the company is the African Bush Camps Foundation, a registered non-profit that delivers conservation and community development across all three countries — funded substantially by guest contributions and by African Bush Camps itself. Education programmes, anti-poaching support, water access and health clinics are not branding claims at ABC; they are integral to how the company operates.

For UK trade partners, African Bush Camps offers the rare combination of authentic, owner-led safari with a portfolio big enough to build complete multi-country itineraries. Beks and the team will be at AATE 2026 to talk through 2026/27 availability, new openings, and how UK operators are pricing combined Botswana–Zimbabwe–Zambia journeys.
